Four lash artists. $500 each, in cash, to put into your business however you need it. One written question, five minutes, nothing to pay back.
What this is
Origins has put over $100,000 back into the lash community through events, workshops and Q+As. The Artist Grant is the next piece of that.
Four artists receive $500 in cash. A course you have been putting off. A better chair. New lighting. Covering rent on a quiet month. You decide where it goes.

Paid in Canadian dollars within 14 days of the winner being confirmed. Nothing to pay back, nothing to report on.

Store credits of $100
Every artist in the top ten receives $100 in Origins online store credit, including the four who take a grant. Ten artists walk away with something.

Feature posts
We build the post for you, using your answer, and send it to you to approve. You will not need to create anything yourself.
$3,000 in total value. Applications are read privately by the Origins team, and nothing you write is posted without your approval.
Lash artistry is a real career. We want to invest back into Lash Artists long term success.

Five stages. Everything on your side happens inside the application window, and the only public moment is the top ten.

The form goes live on this page. It takes about five minutes. Your details, then one written question in 200 words or less.

Applications close
11:59 PM MT. Every application is read privately by the Origins team as it comes in. We are looking for artists building something specific, at any stage, and your follower count is not part of it.
Oct 27
The top ten are announced
All ten are contacted by email and text message first, and approve their feature post before anything goes up.
Oct 28 to 29
The community votes on Instagram Stories
All ten are featured on the Origins Instagram Stories for two days. Voting is a sticker viewers press on the story, one vote each. The public vote counts for half of the decision and the Origins team decides the other half.

Four grants awarded
Cash Grant Winners are announced on the Origins page and contacted the same day. Funds follow within 14 days. Top ten receive their $100 store credit the same day.

What would $500 change about your lash business right now?
Be specific. Plain writing is fine, and it does not need to be polished. We want to hear about something real that $500 can move.

Post to your story that you applied and tag @originslashpro. It takes a second and it helps other artists find the grant, which is the only reason we ask. It is not required and it has no bearing on your application.
The rules
The short version: apply once, be honest, and the money is yours to use.
- Open to lash artists in Canada and the United States who are 18 or older.
- One application per person.
- No purchase is necessary to apply.
- Winners must correctly answer a skill testing question before a grant is awarded.
- Grants are paid in Canadian dollars within 14 days of the winner being confirmed.
- Public voting runs on the Origins Instagram Stories from October 28 to 29. The public vote counts for half of the decision and the Origins team decides the other half. Four artists receive the grants and all ten receive $100 in Origins online store credit.
- Origins may discount votes that appear to be manipulated, and may disqualify an application on that basis.
- Your information is used to administer the grant. If you tick the optional box on the form, we will also send you Origins email. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Questions
Does my application get posted?
No. What you write is read privately by the Origins team, and the top ten approve their feature post before anything runs.
Do I have to make content?
No. There is no reel, no video and nothing to design. Tagging @originslashpro in a story is welcome because it helps other artists hear about the grant, and it has no bearing on your application. If you make the top ten, we build the feature post for you.
How will I know if I am in the top ten?
We contact all ten on October 27 by email and text message, before anything is posted publicly. Put a phone number on your application that you actually check.
How does voting work?

Can I spend it on anything?
